Sole is upgraded its motor from 3.0 CHP to 3.5 CHP at 2016 and this 3.5CHP motor is allow the treadmill speed up very easily.
The motor fitted with larger diameter, balanced flywheel which can help the motor run cooler and extend the motor lifetime. But no worry, Sole F80 offer the lifetime warranty on the motor and this is really great! This also can prove that Sole F80 are very confident on the quality on the treadmill.

Running Surface – Feel Great While Running
In general use, We found the 22”x60” running surface is cushioned well as advertised. Double woven 2-ply belts with four layers are used in the Sole F80 treadmill. This consists of two rubber layers over a middle PVC layer and a nylon backing that rolls over the deck and rollers.
It feel really, really great while running. Not only the cushioning, but the stability make jogging/running on Sole F80 treadmill a real joy.
Deck – Good Cushioning
The Sole F80 treadmill is fitted with a Cushion Flex Deck which claims is an industry’s best deck that providing a 0.365 lower impact than walking or running on asphalt. This unique system offers stability for the user while providing minimal stress to hips, knees ankles and spine during running on it.
In our testing, we scored quite high on this feature as we do feel the deck is soft and less impact on the joint. Deck are also in lifetime warranty.
Workout Programs and Heart Rate Monitor – A bit less
The Sole F80 treadmill combines 6 pre-programmed fitness workouts with two custom workout programs and 2 heart rate fitness programs. A bit less but i am satisfied with the program.
Heart rate monitoring on the F80 treadmill is taken care off by sensors on the handgrips and also a wireless chest strap. The Programmable Heart Rate Controlled Workout shows the persons heart rate on the console and the treadmill will adjust incline to keep the heart rate at a determined level.
Additional, there are speed and incline control on the arm rests and this make it easily handy without reach the console. This is a good feature especially when you are picking up the pace and don’t want to throw off the stride.
Console – User Friendly
The console of the F80 treadmill is user friendly with a vibrant display. The Backlit Blue LCD display all fitness information include Speed, Incline, Time, Distance Traveled, Calories, Pulse and Pace. There is also a 1/4 mile track feature and a Peak and Valley graph for different programs.
The F80 treadmill’s console also incorporates a Message Board system where an alphanumeric text center will sending the scrolling messages to the user to guide through the fitness workout. It is very easy to use and will also recap your entire fitness workout after you are finished.
Extra Accessory – Newly Added Bluetooth Capability
The Sole F80 console built-in speakers allow you to hook up any MP3 player or iPod for listening and this is important to reduce the treadmill boredom. Unfortunately, the sound system aren’t really good and actually Sole could make this better. But unless you expect a Bose system on your treadmill, this speaker issue are not a big deal for me.
There are also twin workout cooling fans built but i hardly feel the wind blow to me. Another downside. The cup holder is in a very awkward position but don’t imagine you could actually use this while running. So the extra accessories doesn’t look good for me.
The 2016 released version is added with Bluetooth capability, allow user to transfer and track their fitness statistic in smart device.
Warranty – Good Coverage
Why buy a cheaper one that will break in a year? You can’t beat the awesome warranty on frame, parts, and even labor. Sole F80 warranty are backed with lifetime warranty on frame, deck and motor, 5 years part, electronic and 2 years labor.
For us, this 2 years labor warranty are bonus for Sole F80 as majority of treadmill brands are only come with 1 year labor warranty. Who knows you might need this additional 1 year labor warranty.
